A Via Ferrata is a sporting route that runs along vertical walls, equipped with all the necessary materials (steel steps, hanging bridges, life lines, etc.) so that any athlete can experience the sensations of classic climbing.
Potes and Picos de Europa, with the Camaleño (Los Llanos) Via Ferrata and La Hermida Via Ferrata, have become the most important place in northern Spain for practising this activity. It’s no wonder, as the panoramic view of Los Picos or La Hermida gorge we get from the heights is unbeatable.
An activity that reveals emotions often unknown, and leaves a feeling of pride and satisfaction once finished, when we ask ourselves the question: "But, did we really climb up there?" 😉
VIA FERRATAS
CAMALEÑO (LOS LLANOS)
It is a very fun and aerial via ferrata, located in front of the Eastern Massif of Picos de Europa, allowing us to enjoy impressive views. It is not excessively long but it is “intense”, with the advantage of having two routes at the end, one easier, in case we are tired, and a more difficult one, where we will cross a spectacular cable bridge. Minimum age 12 years.

LA HERMIDA
It is an easy but long via ferrata that crosses two spectacular bridges suspended between the vertical walls of La Hermida Gorge. It is a bit more physically demanding due to the longer activity time and the long walk back that we must undertake once the ascent is completed. Minimum age 14 years.

WHO WILL ACCOMPANY YOU?
All our guides hold the Ministry of Education qualification of Mountain and Climbing Sports Technician*. This is the only Official and International Qualification that accredits Mountain Guides (Royal Decree 318/2000 of March 3rd).
Adventure activities in Cantabria currently have no regulations requiring companies to have qualified guides, but we do. Through professionalism, we commit to your safety.
*There are four Mountain Guide Qualifications: Mid Mountain Guides or companions, Canyon Guides, Climbing Guides, and High Mountain Guides. Only the last three specialities are qualified to guide via ferratas. CERTIFIED GUIDES
All our guides are professionals accredited by completing the course of Sports Technician in their specialty of High Mountain, Climbing, or Canyoning. These are the only official and international certifications that allow guiding in Via Ferratas.

We only use safety equipment in perfect working condition. We inspect ropes, helmets, harnesses, belay devices, carabiners, and slings daily and replace them at the first sign of wear.
