The Picos de Europa have several characteristics that make them different than the other mountains in Spain. Probably what best defines them is their verticality. Because of this condition, there are many climbing routes in their three ranges, either as the highest peaks like Torre Cerredo or at the bottom of the valley, as in the case of Cueto Agero.

The alpine climbing allows us to reach impossible heights otherwise, to make us feel like if we were the only ones for a moment. After the effort the views are stunning and, if we stretch your arms, we can almost touch the sky.

Undoubtedly, the most classic ascent is climbing the Naranjo de Bulnes or Pico Urriellu (+info). This historic summit is amazing from its base.

Equipment that we will use:

  • Hiking boot
  • Safety harness
  • Climbing shoes
  • Rope
  • Helmet
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Food and water

Climbing and ridges:

The different guided climbs and peaks are grouped into three levels according to difficulty for a better organization. Here there are some of the best known. If you are interested in a different way or higher difficulty you can contact us here.

If you want to climb the Naranjo de Bulnes you can find  all the detailed information about it here.

We also offer climbing courses in order that you can start in this activity (+info)

These ascents do not require any experience, they are recommended for people who want to learn the sport and perform some classical route or ascent any summit that cannot be accessed on foot.
